Love this, Bangs! As a 41-year-old I now care LESS what people think and have learned to let go of A LOT of toxic friendships...or just simply friendships that don't serve me anymore.

That's something that I think we learn to refine over time - as we settle more into our authentic selves and tune into what we need and deserve, it naturally makes us look at who we are spending our time with. It's nice to feel like you're really finding your people at this stage.

I am turning 39 this month and I am also over hearing "you look so young for your age!" ... Peace of mind and less fucks given that come with aging have been my favourite part, and I cannot wait for my 40s and an up-levelling on those fronts.

Happy birthday! I’m currently 43 and on the cusp of turning 44 next month. While the societal influences can be confusing and creep its way into my self esteem some days, I couldn’t agree more with this post on so many levels. So thanks for the reminder and inspiration to keep striving and thriving!
