Hey, hey, is this where I want on about books? I’ve just finished The Underdog by Felicity Cloake. Felicity is primarily a food writer and has had a column in the Guardian for 10 years. She has a Cairn terrier called Wilf and has also written 3 travel/food books, all of which I’ve loved so I was keen to read The Underdog.

I’m not ashamed to say that there’s definitely a time and place in my life for chick lit and this is that but well written. A bit silly but fun, set in east London, featuring friends, food/cheffing, shambolic love life, dogs and drama.

If you’re keen for a bit of shameless escapism from the trials of daily life and all that the internet throws at us, I’d recommend x

Thank you for this recommendation! I'm not familiar with Felecity Cloake, but will definitely look her up and I'm adding The Underdog to my list. Any book that includes dogs is good with me!
