Hey, hey, is this where I want on about books? I’ve just finished The Underdog by Felicity Cloake. Felicity is primarily a good writer and has had a column in the Guardian for 10 years. She has a Cairn terrier called Wilf and has also written 3 travel/food books, all of which I’ve loved so I was keen to read The Underdog.

I’m not ashamed to say that there’s definitely a time and place in my life for chick lit and this is that but well written. A bit silly but fun, set in east London, featuring friends, shambolic love life, dogs and drama.

If you’re keen for a bit of shameless escapism from the trials of daily life and all that the internet throws at us, I’d recommend x
