Boy oh boy…have I had a lot of rejection in my life!
Where do we start? With the many unrequited crushes I’ve had and tried to turn into suitors, only to get brutally denied? The friendships I thought would be lifelong, only to have that person ghost? Or the seemingly endless career opportunities that I thought were for certain, a sure fire thing and the path to my ultimate success and world domination, which turned into me being rejected and falling flat on my face?
Whether personal or professional, rejection has a scale that can run from a sting to a gaping wound. It can be hard not to take it personally. But at this stage in my life, I consider myself a rejection veteran. I’ve had a ton of it and I’m still here - proof enough that you can survive it.
