Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Ariana Grande. I saw this post on Twitter a couple of days ago and I love it. Grande is 30 years old and she’s talking about how she stopped her lip filler and botox in 2018 - when she was 25. It’s wild to me how women in their early 20s are using fillers etc anyway, but that’s a conversation for another day. I love the sentiment of wanting her smile lines to get deeper and deeper. To me, that’s a sign of a life well lived. I know the botox/filler debate splits a lot of people and of course, people are entitled to do whatever they want with their bodies, but I do hope we see a shift towards us accepting ourselves for who we are.
Things that caught my eye this week
This piece about the way friendships between parents and child-free people change once the kids come along is truly one of the best, most-relatable things I think I’ve ever read on this topic. Whichever side of the fence you’re on with this one, this article will make you feel seen.
Very much worth a read.
Food for thought
There’s a beauty in elevation, growth and becoming. But what people don’t talk about enough is that however much you may have been craving that, working for it, waiting for it to come, it’s OK if you feel a bit sad for what you’re leaving behind. As you shed old versions of yourself and step into the new, sometimes that means leaving behind people, places, things that brought you comfort and carried you through. But for whatever reason, they just don’t fit with your next chapter. And that can be really frikkin’ hard to accept.
So allow yourself to feel the sadness, yes, but don’t let it stop you from soaring.

On Monday’s edition of the letter I’m talking about an experience of overwhelm I had recently and how I was able to bring myself back to the moment using a simple technique. If you’re prone to overthinking and spiralling, you’re gonna wanna read this one!

Your weekly Biggie Smalls (p)update
This week, Biggie wants to remind you to be assertive. Get that mentor! Ask to sit in on that meeting! Advocate for yourself! Be a bit pushy! (lovingly, of course). Biggie says, ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get,’ and who knows where the right question, bit of push back or advocacy could get you.
It is actually possible to love exercise!
If you haven’t checked out my new course, Movement Mindset Makeover, I highly recommend. There’s a reason you’ve struggled to stay consistent with exercise programs in the past and no amount of crossing your fingers and telling yourself ‘it’ll stick this time!’ when you start over, will cure it.
This program helps you get to the root of understanding your inconsistency, builds a more positive relationship with your body image and movement and puts an action plan in place to ensure you have the foundation that’ll make your movement habit stick.
If you’re ready to reap the benefits of being consistent with movement (boost your confidence, self-esteem, focus, motivation, drive…I could go on and on and on….!) click the button below and start the program. It includes ongoing email support and a 1-2-1 life coaching session with me.
Let’s get you moving and feeling your absolute best!
New Weekly Feature!
I’m gonna be starting a weekly advice column here, so if you have something you’re going through at the moment and could use some advice and input from a neutral third party, send your dilemma along to me! Simply reply to this email with your issue (please try to explain the issue is as brief a way as you can!) - I will keep your name anonymous (or you can pick a name you’d like me to use) and the dilemma and response will appear in the Thursday Murmuration each week.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
