Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with this glorious picture of Anjelica Huston, for no other reason than…do you have eyes? Then your eyes deserve this treat. A vision, a bold declaration of badassery in action, a reason for us to all take up smoking (I kid). Someone once told me I look like Anjelica Huston, which I feel isn’t true, but remains one of the greatest compliments of my life. I hope they were thinking of this image when they said it.
Things that caught my eye this week
This article about the invention of the sports bra is definitely worth your time. We take for granted now how revolutionary this garment is, but the story of how it came to be and what it did to the friendship of the three women who invented it is fascinating.
Food for thought
Not everyone deserves access to you.
To be in your presence is a privilege. Anyone who doesn’t understand and respect that, simply doesn’t deserve to be around you. Your life is a gallery, you’re the curator. Things or people that don’t gel, don’t make you feel good, overstep boundaries, make you feel anxious, mistreat you in any way? They don’t get a gallery spot. You don’t need to feel guilty about that. Relish the things and people that make you feel good. Throw up some impenetrable boundaries. There is no space in your life for drama and bullshit.
You should subscribe to the paid version of The Murmuration because…
In Monday’s paid version of The Murmuration I’m sharing another tidbit about how to get unstuck. In my life coaching business, these are conversations I have often and am super passionate about. So if you need a pep talk, subscribe so you can read Monday’s words.
Your Weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week Biggie wants to check that you’re taking your meds, having quality solo time, quiet time and not forgoing your self-care. He thinks you should start that book you’ve been saving for a rainy day and also, buy a new toothbrush, because you know it’s time.
Until next week, smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
I once told a woman she looked like Anjelica Huston and she looked stunned.
AH is a beauty.
