Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
It’s the day after International Women’s Day and I just want to take a moment to acknowledge how frikkin’ awesome we are. I hope you took the time to recognise your own greatness and achievements, as well as those of the women around you. I spent yesterday speaking at an event for the staff of a women’s shelter, who help women leaving intimate partner violence. I was in the presence of heroes. I was humbled and honoured to be tasked with uplifting and inspiring them, reminding them to prioritise themselves, that they are worthy of the care and attention they so lovingly give others.
Each year on International Women’s Day, I check in with myself to ensure the feminism I’m practicing is intersectional, because otherwise, it just doesn’t count. I challenge myself to be a better ally to the women around me and I’d like to challenge you to do the same.
We rise by lifting others.
Things that caught my eye this week
Chronic worrier? I’ve definitely had times in my life where I get stuck in a certain thought loop and it’s frustrating as hell. I found this article pretty helpful in understanding what’s going on when that happens and steps you can take the break the loop.
Food for thought
The goal doesn’t get achieved overnight. It happens in small steps and stages. Your only task is to stay consistent in your desire for it. There are times you’ll fuck up, go back a few steps, but that doesn’t mean quit. It doesn’t mean the dream is dead. It just means you have to find your way back to consistency. Dust yourself off, try again.

On Monday’s paid edition of the letter, I’m pondering the likelihood of romantic love over 40, and whether actually it makes more sense to focus on sisterhood and developing a commune with a bunch of badass women to see out our days. Subscribe and join me!
