Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Viola Davis, because….she’s Viola Davis. Do we need more of a reason? I love her. That is all. She is an angel walking this earth. We do not deserve her. Gawjus, exceptionally talented, the arm definition of my dreams - I could go on. Anyway, this Queen won a Grammy at the weekend for the narration of her memoir, Finding Me, which means she is now one of the prestigious few who are part of the EGOT club (performers who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award). Slay on Queen, slay on.
Things that caught my eye this week
This article on plastic surgery trends of filler now being out and buccal-fat removal is in, has kinda blown my mind. I really struggle with there being ‘trends’ in how our faces are supposed to look. None of that facial alteration stuff is for me, but I find the whole thing fascinating and a little sad.
Food for thought
What steps did you take towards your goals today? Did you move the dial a little bit in the direction you want to go in? Or were you crippled by overwhelm, unsure where to start, concluded that there’s no point or you’ll never get there? Just a reminder that you don’t get to complain about the results you don’t get with the action you don’t take. So just do something. Anything. Move the dial a tiny bit every day. It all matters.
Upgrade to paid
You should subscribe to the paid version of The Murmuration ‘cause in Monday’s paid newsletter, I’m making the case for why it’s so important to continue to try. I’ve been having a lot of conversations with my life coaching clients recently around confidence being knocked and the temptation to just give up. On Monday, we talk about how to get back on the horse and charge forward. Join me!
(Let me just be super real and transparent with you here: it’s not particularly comfortable asking for money, but my financial circumstances changed quite drastically a couple of months ago, so the growth of this newsletter has become even more important to me. If you enjoy the content I share here and on my Instagram, please know, I work really hard to create it and a nice/practical way to show your appreciation for it would be to subscribe to the paid edition of the newsletter. Thank you!)
Your weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week, Biggie wants to encourage you to get up and out early. Go for a walk before the world wakes up, listen to the birds, enjoy the gentle hum of your surroundings, marvel at the sunset as you get your thoughts together for a new day. According to Biggie, that’s some pretty powerful shit.

These North Face indoor/outdoor slippers have been an absolute game changer for me this winter. My feet are always cold so these have kept them snuggly through these icy cold snaps we’ve been having. Easy to pull on and off and perfect if you just need to run out to the car to get something but don’t want to go through the hassle of lacing something up.
The Fit Coach App - I downloaded this a couple of week ago. I paid about $90 for the year and I’m really enjoying it. It has a huge variety of well-curated home workouts geared towards your goals. I love that I can squeeze a quick 25 minute workout in at home and then get on with my day. Most of the workouts don’t really require equipment. Simple, easy, effective.
Ready for some Life Coaching?
I have space to take on two 1-2-1 clients for my signature program: Transform. This is an amazing program where you’ll have four months of support as you journey through getting to the root of your limiting belief, doing the work to transform it and coming up with an action plan that moves you forward into the life of your dreams. I absolutely love doing this program with people - it is such worthwhile work.
If you have been feeling ready to shake things up, to make the changes you’ve been too scared to make, let me help you - let’s go on this journey together.
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
