Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Deanna Stellato-Dudek who, at 40 years old, just became the oldest woman to win a World Figure Skating Championship. You can watch the routine here and WHEW! It is STUNNING. The sheer athleticism, the grace, the beauty of it. I legit gasped a couple of times.
A certified bad bitch.
Let this rewrite the narrative that athletic careers must end at 30. Deanna is proving what’s possible and that with age, comes a skill level that wins championships, baby!
Things That Caught My Eye This Week
Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock this week, the internet is all about this NY Mag exposé of podcaster, Andrew Huberman. Huberman has enjoyed an incredible rise through this podcast ranks since he launched his science-based pod in 2020. He has a cult-like following. But the grumbles from various corners of the internet over the efficacy of his theories have gotten louder over the last few months and this exposé focuses on those, but also, his heinous treatment of women.
The bros of the internet will no doubt roll their eyes and give the usual lines about cancel culture and how what a man does in his personal life has nothing to do with his podcast. But for those of us who know that all these things are interlinked, it’s quite delightful to see the downfall of this sleazeball.
Food for thought
The things that didn’t pan out, didn’t come to fruition or flopped before they really got off the ground; mourn them. But not for long. Make peace with the fact that it wasn’t meant to be. Then allow room for excitement, because the gap that thing left will be filled by something more purposeful, more exciting, more aligned, extra juicy. It can be really hard to feel that in the moment, but put your energy into transferring that grief into trust and watch the goodness flow to you.

Your Weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week Biggie would like to remind you to meet yourself where you are. If rest is calling your name, you have a duty to answer. You are not alive to be a productivity machine. Your brain, body and nervous system need to decompress. That doesn’t make you unproductive, it doesn’t make you useless, it should not be a source of shame. Be like Biggie and RELAX.
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
