Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Ayo Edebiri who won a Golden Globe this week for her role on The Bear. I’m very pro-The Bear. I’m pro women who wear very chic red dresses and sport them with wonderfully angular bobs.
She was magnificent in that show and I hope we start to see way more of her.
Things that caught my eye this week
It’s no secret I nerd out on all things habits and consistency, so I really liked this piece in Fast Company about the ‘streak’ phenomenon and how more apps are building the ability to track your streaks with certain activities into them. As someone who is determined to have a reasonable degree of fluency in French by the end of the year, my current 184 day streak on DuoLingo is definitely keeping me invested in learning.
Worth a read if you’ve set some intentions centred around taking action at the start of the year.
Your time to shine
I currently have space to take on three Personal Development clients. If you are determined to level up this year, build confidence and consistency and break out of whatever negative story that’s been holding you back, I am ready to coach you. If you’ve never had a coach before, it’s powerful stuff. Don’t believe me? Check out what a former client messaged me recently:
Let me be your cheerleader, guide you through the tough stuff and get you to your finish line. WE CAN DO THIS!
If you’re interested, simply reply to this email and let’s chat. You can check out more about my coaching by clicking the button below.
Food for thought
The big dream you have for yourself? You wouldn’t be able to imagine it if it didn’t already exist in some dimension somewhere. I like to think that when I imagine the things I want to achieve, I’m really looking at the future version of me who has already achieved it. Every time I think about it and take an action towards it, I get one step closer to meeting her. Every time I day dream, I’m breathing more life and power into that desire.
Future you can’t wait to hang out. Go take some action so you get to meet her sooner.
Sweat with me
I launched my online spin studio just over a month ago and lemme tell ya, we’re having a great time over there!
Fancy a 70s rock ride? How about 80s Pop or 90s Hip Hop? Or a bunch of chilled out Soulful Sunday classic rides that are slower paced and perfect for beginners?
But it’s not just that - we’ve got weights, stretching and mobility and Pilates classes too.
Come join the fun! Get your first month for $30 (usually $45) when you enter NEWYEAR30 at check out.
You should sign up for the paid version of The Murmuration because…
On Monday’s paid edition of The Murmuration, I’m going to be talking about my recent experience doing the 75 Hard challenge; what I learned from it, what the hardest bits were and if I’d do it again.
If you’re setting yourself big goals this year, this will definitely be worth a read.
Your weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week Biggie would like to remind you that sometimes, being subtle just doesn’t work. You have to ask for what you want clearly and very literally. And just stay there til you get what you want. Be persistent. Someone will throw that toy eventually!
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
