Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Angel Reese, a forward on LSU’s college basketball team, who won the NCAA Championship this week. Much has been made of Ms Reese fully believing in her own swag and making the hand gesture above (referencing how her team would win the championship ring) taunting the opposing team. Of course, a white player on the opposing team made the gesture first and was praised for being so spunky, yet when Angel Reese did it she was called ‘classless’. I WONDER WHY! Anyway, I bet that championship ring fits real nice - flaunt it, honey!
Things that caught my eye this week
If you, like me, love a story of a badass business woman changing the game, this is a great collection of articles about game-changing women in a variety of industries. I’m still working my way through them all, but I love to have inspiration like that to hand, so I figured I’d share the wealth.
Food for thought
Doubts are normal, inevitable even, but not going after the thing you want will hurt more in the long run. Have the courage to try. Steep yourself in unrelenting bravery. Whether you choose to amble or sprint in the direction of your dreams, stay focused on the forward motion. Give it everything you’ve got. The life you’re shooting for needs your effort now. Don’t risk regret having you in a chokehold.

On Monday’s paid version of the letter, I’m debating how to get comfortable with going grey. Do we dye our hair into the abyss, or can we stand ten toes deep in all the symbolism grey hair is steeped in. As someone who is very pro-ageing and wants to do so naturally, I find myself feeling a little nervous with each new grey strand that appears atop my head. Subscribe and weigh in with your thoughts!
Your weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week Biggie would like to remind you that nap times are sacred and that you are not, under any circumstances, allowed to steal his blanket.
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
