Happy Thursday, ya beauties!
Kicking it off this week with Sarah Mensah, who was recently appointed the first ever female president of the Jordan brand at Nike. Pretty big frikkin’ deal. Kind of wild that she’s the first female to reach that position but in the world of sports and sports apparel, it’s an uphill struggle for ze ladies. So, this feels pretty monumental. The Jordan brand brings in an estimated $5 billion in annual revenue.
Shout out to any woman doing big boss things out here.
Things that caught my eye this week
Being a better listener is something I have been actively working on for the last little while. My work as a coach has definitely helped me improve in that regard. I really liked this article about how to make someone truly feel heard - lots of important tips in here that I think we can all use.
Food for thought
We take our bodies for granted so much. We curse that workout and bemoan how much we don’t want to do it. What if we started viewing it as a divine celebration of these vessels we get to live in. It’s not a punishment. It’s not a chore. It’s a sacred ritual where we get to honour and love and respect the sheer power we get to embody every day. So just move. Be it in a slow, yoga flow, a boogie to your favourite song or a push-it-to-your-limits type of sweat fest - take a moment to just be in wondrous awe today of all your body allows you to do.

On Monday’s paid version of the letter, I’m talking about living unapologetically, in the face of people who want you to shrink yourself or dim your light in some way and why it’s actually very important that you live in your truth and authenticity - especially so for the people who don’t like it.
So if you have been feeling frustrated lately, as though your personal growth is being stunted somehow, Monday’s newsletter will be the pep talk you need.

Your Weekly Biggie Smalls (P)update
This week, Biggie wants to remind you to go wander, explore, allow yourself to get a little lost. Do it with no agenda. Do it with no time limit. Let yourself just be. Examine the patterns in that tree bark, pick up those funny looking stones, collect those shells that are too pretty to leave. We are surrounded by infinite beauty - let this be your reminder to slow down and take it in.

Well, in a clear sign that I listen to way too many podcasts, a few months ago, I finally bought AG1 (formerly Athletic Greens). They’re a sponsor on pretty much every podcast I listen to, so it was only a matter of time before I caved and tried it. I wanted to be using it consistently for a couple of months in order to give an accurate review and I can now say….it’s worth it. I was taking a bunch of supplements, so I cut all those out and just have my AG1 drink in the morning instead. I feel great. I will say, it’s not some sort of wonder drug - if your diet is trash and you never move your body, taking AG1 won’t likely do a lot. But as a support to a healthy lifestyle - I definitely recommend.
As you know, I am an avid journaler and by far my favourite journal is the Rhodia glued spine lined soft cover notebook (you’re reading the words of a gal who takes her stationery seriously). The paper quality is next level and the colour choices are an absolute treat. I’ve filled probably over a dozen of them at this point and they are now my go-to journal of choice. Ween yourself off the Moleskin crack - Rhodia is where it’s at.
Until next week; smile at strangers, spread good vibes, be nice to people.
Oooh thanks for the Rhodia tip! ✨✨
