The Freelance-to-Full Time Crash Landing
In June, I moved to Toronto to take on a full time role after being freelance/self-employed for two and a half years. No one quite prepares you for the crashing landing that is the adjustment period that comes with this switch.
Sure, there’s the shift in your time no longer being your own, having to answer to people and work within a structure - all of which can be jarring when you’re so accustomed to your freedoms.
