I bloody love a good journaling sesh. I’ve had a solid daily practice in place for the last four years and it’s been an amazingly transformative thing to have in my life. It has brought me peace, clarity, processing and reasoning skills and a whole heap of other benefits. My morning journaling sessions are my favourite part of my day.
It’s all the rage these days, for sure. As mindfulness has taken centre stage more and more socially and culturally, having a solid journaling practice is up there on any list of self-care activities.
But we’re not often told how to start, what we should be writing about or how to properly maintain a journal over a period of time. If you’ve never tried it, sitting in front of a blank piece of paper can be pretty intimidating.
So, let’s start with the basics:
